No More Free Parking
If you’ve ever been to the Blue Star District to visit Bar 1919 or grab a midnight coffee at Halcyon, you know how much of a hassle it can be to find parking. I have some news—good or bad, depending on your perspective. Parking should be easier, but you’ll have to pay for it. Yep, the last free parking in Southtown is going away.
The Blue Star District is an awesome spot if you haven’t had the chance to check it out yet. There’s the prohibition-era-style Bar 1919, a great burger and draft beer place, and, of course, my favorite: Halcyon Coffee Bar, which stays open as late as 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
While this news may be disappointing to some, it doesn’t really change much for me. I’ll still be utilizing the free street parking… three blocks away.
